March 13, San Francisco: Rainbows Not Walls

Wednesday March 13, 2019
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Congregation Sha’ar Zahav
290 Dolores St.
San Francisco, CA 94103

Join faith and community members to learn why San Francisco is in a unique position to support the hopes and dreams of LGBTQ immigrants who are fleeing from persecution and violent conditions in their home countries.

The Santa Fe Dreamers Project will bring an update on the inhumane current conditions that the trans caravan members are facing in ICE detention facilities, and we’ll hear from trans caravan members who have recently attained their release from ICE detention. Sponsors and accompaniment teams will share about their experiences of meeting the new arrivals, and about how you can help too.

At this event we will also be doing a pitch to raise funds for the 90 transgender caravan members currently ICE detention. Our goal is to raise $2250 which would put $25 deposit for each of them. Every little bit helps them with the smallest but most meaningful commissary support.

For questions or if you’d like to volunteer at the event,
