Lincoln Memorial Congregational Church, 4126 Arlington Ave, Los Angeles
March 21, 6 p.m.
Justice Not Jails invites the community to gather for a follow-up conversation growing out of our Jan. 26 day-long Faith & Race Conference at Holman United Methodist Church. On the 21st we will drill down on what real solidarity with those who have lived experience of our racist criminal justice system looks like: What kinds of interventions and actions are timely and necessary? Where is the voice of faith leadership most needed in the context of Los Angeles County?
How to we build greater awareness and commitment within the faith community itself?
With so much going on—plans for new jail construction (or is it really a hospital?), a hard-to-read new county sheriff, and an urgent need for a more accountable District Attorney (just to name a few)—we have lots to talk about.
Light refreshments will be available, but you must RSVP. Seating will be limited. Register today to hold your spot.
